You are a beneficiary of Bala’s N3.6 billion cars contract—Bibi Dogo tells Dogara

Bibi Dogo, a chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party in Bauchi State says Yakubu Dogara a former Speaker of the House of Representatives is a beneficiary of the N3.6 billion naira car contracts awarded by governor Bala Mohammed upon resumption of office as governor.

Dogo who faulted Dogara’s figures says, “On the alleged money that was awarded for the purchase of vehicles in the administration of Governor, Bala Mohammed; the money is N3.6 billion and not N4.6 billion as wrongly cited by Dogara who is also one of the beneficiaries of the vehicles.”

Dogo who said the delay in conducting LG polls in Bauchi State was due to the Covid-19 pandemic, added that date has already been fixed by the State independent Electoral Commission for the conduct of the polls come October.

He said it is very shameful for Dogara to dump APC in 2019 elections and quickly return to pick the same broom he said was not sweeping well, alleging that there were rumours from many quarters that Dogara’s return to APC was initiated to cover himself from the mess of NDDC that is now booming.

The PDP chieftain also called on the National Assembly to decalare Dogara’s seat vacant, warning that failure to do so, the state government will initiate recall process at the Bogoro,Dass,Tafawa Balewa federal constituency.

Dogara had in a letter written to the PDP announcing his defection, cited corruption, maltreatment of traditional rulers and the inability of Governor Bala Mohammed to conduct LG polls as some of the reasons for his defection.

Bibi Dogo however stated that the defection of Dogara is an act of Political indiscipline, adding that the people of Bogoro , Dass and Tafawa Balewa who elected him under the platform of the PDP are no longer comfortable with his continuous defection in the House.
