‘You Will Become President But After Me’, Tinubu To Nigerian Youths

The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress APC and former Lagos State Governor, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has told Nigerian youths that they can only become president of the country after he becomes first.

The 69-year-old politician stated this on Sunday when he visited Lamidi Adeyemi, the Alaafin of Oyo, at his palace in Ibadan, Oyo State.

Speaking at the palace, Tinubu said, “You won’t give room for the elderly to pass and you haven’t become president. What if you become president, will you chase us out of town?

“You will grow old, you will become president but I will become president first.” He said.

His scheduled visit to Oyo town was part of his engagement with traditional rulers across the regions in respect of his 2023 presidential ambition.

WikkiTimes recall that in January, the APC Chieftain visited President Muhammadu Buhari in Aso Rock during which he announced his intention to contest Nigeria’s highest seat, come 2023.

In the same month, Tinubu visited the former military head of state, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB), in Minna Niger state capital, to consult and receive the statesman’s blessings in regard to his ambition.
