Your Votes will count in my administration, Bauchi gov assures citizens

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Abdulkardi Mohammed has pledged the readiness of his administration to ensure votes of the common man counted.

The governor announced this while answering questions from Government House Correspondents on the victory of the PDP candidates at the just concluded Zaki and Gamawa federal constituencies rerun and supplementary elections.

Governor Bala Mohammed said before the conduct of the elections, he has directed members of his cabinet to defy manipulating election results to favour candidates the people detest.

” During my administration, votes of the common man will count; I have already cautioned members of my cabinet and my party, the People’s Democratic Party against election malpractice or doing anything in my favor or the PDP.

He expressed gratitude to members of the Zaki and Gamawa federal constituencies for the peaceful conduct of the election without violence, describing it as free, fair and credible.

The governor while congratulating Auwal Jatau and Madaki Gololo for their victory at the polls, challenged them to carry every body along regardless of their political differences.

“You should know that you are not only for PDP members, but you are for all the members of your constituencies.”

Governor Bala Mohammed therefore enjoined the elected federal lawmakers to be proactive in the discharge of their assigned responsibilities by bringing the required development to the state.

On his part, the State PDP Chairman, Hamza Koshe Akuyam expressed satisfaction for the victory of his party, the PDP in the just concluded Zaki and Gamawa federal constituencies.

Governor Bala Mohammed has already departed Abuja to attend National Executive Council meeting of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
