Ex governor of Bauchi state Mallam Isa Yuguda has finally defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress APC. It would be recalled that the immediate past governor ruled Bauchi state for two terms under the umbrella of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP and defected to the Gree Party of Nigeria GPN after he lost senatorial ambition in 2015.
Yuguda also contested for senator under the GPN during the recent Bauchi south bye election where he lost to Lawal Yahaya Gumau of the APC.

Announcing Yuguda’s defection to APC at a press conference in Bauchi, his spokesman Alhaji Salisu Barau explained that the former governor’s coming to the ruling party was aimed at correcting the wrongs in the party and contribute towards the development of the state and the country at large.
He denied the insinuation that Yuguda masterminded the emergence of the incumbent governor Mohammed Abubakar as APC flagbearer in 2015 assuring however that he would support APC in all elections in 2019.
