The PDP also expressed concern over the delay in announcing the results, accusing the Zamfara State Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) of intentionally delaying the process to give room for manipulation.

The party called on the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Mahmoud Yakubu, to intervene in the situation and urged the president, security agencies, and international observers to monitor the election closely to prevent violence and loss of lives and properties.

As of the time of this report, the results of 11 out of 14 local government areas have been announced, with the PDP candidate, Dauda Lawal, leading with a margin of 74,232 votes, according to the PDP.
