The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Gombe State Council, has expressed deep sadness over the passing of Hajia Hussainatu Pate, mother of Prof. Umaru Pate, Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Kashere.
Hajia Hussainatu Pate, 80, passed away on Wednesday in Yola, Adamawa State, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to her family, including three children – Prof. Pate, Amina, and Hamza.
The NUJ Council, in a statement by its Chairman, Faruk Muazu, extended heartfelt condolences to Prof. Pate and his family, sharing in their grief and offering prayers and support.
“Hajia Hussainatu Pate’s impact on her community and the lives of those around her will not be forgotten,” Muazu said. “May her memory continue to inspire and guide her loved ones.”
The NUJ joins the Pate family in mourning the loss of a remarkable matriarch.
