Viral audio of Abubakar Atiku, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) discussing with his running mate, Ifeanyi Okowa and Aminu Tambuwal, Governor of Sokoto State on how to rig tomorrow’s election was faked and doctored, according to Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD).
The trio in the audio discussed what technology to use for manipulating tomorrow’s polls. As contained in the video, they also taught of bribing officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) at the state level.
The centre’s election War Room analysed the viral video and found that it was doctored.
A fact-checking tool for verifying doctored audios and videos, Deepware was used to analyse the trending audio and it showed that the audio was 97% doctored.
