While addressing the matter in at press conference in Kano on Monday, Sheikh Daurawa started by condemning the recently signed Samoa deal.

Sheikh Daurawa explained that Hisbah does not approve or have any affiliation with the LGBTQ community or NGOs that promote such ideology.

He said the command is not in support of some NGOs that promote LGBTQ as it does not conform with the Islamic Shariah.

He said “We are aware of some non-profit organizations hiding under the guise of charity and empowerment but secretly advocating LGBTQ. We have been working tirelessly in collaboration with the Kano state government to identify and ban those organizations.

“I call on the media and newsmen to also put hands together to help us on this cause.”

While also confirming that Idris Ahmed is part of them, he said the command is not aware of the event by WISE Nigeria and is not in support of it.

Sheikh Daurawa added that Idris has been brought before the Hisbah Command and will be interrogated accordingly.
