As Bauchi holds local government elections today, voters deliberately deserted voting points across centers visited.
A visit to Zun-Fulani, 006 polling unit, Ganjuwa local government, as at 10:15 in the morning, only about 80 registered voters cast votes.
Speaking to our correspondent, Presiding officer, Emmanuel Yohanna explained that voters were accredited manually before casting their votes.
He said most of the voters went to Soto market, a nearby local mega market, a sign that voters did not border about the election.
A similar visit to Anguwar-Wakili polling unit in Soto revealed that few voters turned out and took part in the election.
