Jigawa Lawmaker Launches Enrollment Drive to Combat Out-of-School Crisis in Constituency

In an effort to reduce the number of out-of-school children in Jigawa State, the representative for Babura constituency, Alhaji Mas’ud Naruwa, has launched an enrollment drive in the area.

Speaking at the launch, Naruwa explained that the aim of the project was to provide an immediate response to the UNICEF survey report, which shows a significant number of out-of-school children in the area.

In a remark, the Education Secretary of the area, represented by the Head of Finance, Malam Hussaini Muhammad, commended the efforts of the lawmaker.

He pointed out that the initiative would encourage collaboration to address the issue of out-of-school children.

Also speaking, the District Head of Babura, Sarkin Bai Ringim Alhaji Muhammad Nata’ala Mustapha, commended the lawmaker for his efforts to reduce the number of out-of-school children in the area.

He assured the readiness of his community to provide the necessary support and cooperation to achieve the desired objective.

He urged the government to continue the school feeding program, adding that it encourages pupil attendance and enrollment.

The lawmaker has donated school uniforms to 150 pupils.
