Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has said that no one should praise him yet as his administration is in its one year of existence. The administration is trying to develop the state and is not yet through because there is still room for more to be done.
The Governor who was interacting with the Media to mark his One year in office as the Governor stated that his administration has recorded so many achievements within one year, but noted that it was too early to praise the Government.
“During the electioneering campaign, we promised the people that we were going to work for them, we were going to let feel the positive impact of the art of democracy, that is what we are doing and will continue to do”
“We are not blowing any trumpet because we don’t want to derail, we want to deliver the goods, we want to make life easy for the people, we want to make sure that the glory of Bauchi State as the epicenter of modern politics in Nigeria was restored”
“Gombe state which was carved out of Bauchi State has developed more ahead of Bauchi” due to what he described as lack of commitment by previous administrations. “Gombe has gone ahead of us in terms of infrastructure development, we have a lot of catch up to do” he said
The Governor assured that compensation has been released to the Ministry of Works for payment to those to be affected by the construction of roads in Bauchi metropolis in order to open up the state capital to a befitting status.
He also assured that all major towns in the state will have roads network while the rural areas will be opened up to give free access to the rural areas who are predominantly farmers to be able to transport their farm produce to the market.
