Bauchi Gov Promises Dambam A’First Class Chief’ If Reelected

Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has promised the people of Dambam Local Government to upgrade their paramount traditional ruler to first Class Chief if they voted for reelection during the 2023 election.

The governor stated this during his campaign rally where he address thousands of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) supporters and other residents at the Dambam Central Primary.

“The population of Bauchi State has rapidly increased and we have six first-class traditional institutions in the state. If so wish Dambam should have a first-class traditional ruler. Who knows whether it is through me that God will make Dambam have a first-class traditional ruler.”

“Are we afraid of anyone, we can detach you from the existing emirate and make Dambam traditional institution a first class and nothing will happen. If you remain loyal and faithful you will see wonders. I will put a trophy between Dambam and Alkaleri my own town, if you passed Alkaleri in voting for my reelected I will make Dambam a first-class traditional institution because Dambam deserves to be upgraded to first-class status because of its historical background.

“I am appealing to the people Dambam to keep faith with this administration and we should unite ourselves and should support one another for the common good of all. We should do away with the old political difference of Bauchi-Katagum rivalry that divides our people unnecessarily,” he said

Bala recalls that Dambam voted for him during the 2019 Bauchi state, saying, “you should repeat the same gesture during the forthcoming election by voting for the PDP from top to bottom.”
