A 32-year-old man, Roland Raymond of Detti village, Ganye Local Government Area of Adamawa State has been arrested by the police for alleged criminal intimidation associated with kidnapping.
He was arrested following a report by Alhaji Yahya Congo and Abraham Paul, who narrated that the suspect called them on phone and demanded a ransom of 600,000 Naira or risk being kidnapped.
A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer in Adamawa State, SP Sulaiman Yahaya Nguroje, says upon receipt of the complaint, the police in Ganye Division, in collaboration with hunters, swiftly mobilized and arrested the suspect at the point of collecting the requested money.
“The suspect will be charged to court after investigation”, the statement added.
