Thieves have reportedly burgled into a Mosque in Kano City and carted away solar energy battery worth over ₦300,000.
Ibrahim Bala Aisami narrated in a Facebook post that the thieves broke into the mosque attached to his house and stole the batteries that supply energy to worshippers in the Mosque during prayer and teaching sessions.
“Some thieves burgled the window of the Mosque in my house and then broke the protection of solar battery and took it away which is estimated at over ₦300, 000.

” Pray for Allah to expose them and replace it for us to continue lessons and other acts of worship in peace,” Aisami said on his Facebook page in Hausa.

Efforts to get other details about the incident were not successful while the police couldn’t be reached for comments.
WikkiTimes observed that most mosques in Kano that installed solar system for use have put protective iron and locked with keys to prevent theft in the sacred place.
