Abubakar Tatari Ali polytechnic ATAP has assured the National Universities Commission NUC of its readiness to fulfill all requirements and abide by laid down guidelines to attain full accreditation of its degree programmes.
The Rector of the institution Dr Sulaiman Muhammad Lame stated this at the commencement of accreditation exercise for degree programmes affiliated to Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University ATBU Bauchi.
Dr Sulaiman Lame who said the polytechnic has all the facilities and personnel required for full accreditation, promised accept the outcome of the exercise.
He called on the accreditation team to be just and fair in the discharge of its duty for the development of education in the country.
Responding, Chairman of the comittee Professor Emmanuel Onibere said the team was at the institution to inspect facilities put in place for commencement of affiliated degree programmes.
Professor Emmanuel Onibere who said the exercise is not meant to witchhunt anybody, called for maximum cooperation from the institution.
He thanked the polytechnic management for the warm reception and hospitalityaccorded them.
The Degree programmes expected to be accredited by the NUC team include Building technology education, business education, accountancy, woodwork, electrical electronics education, automobile technology and computer science education among others.
