Three Children, Others Kidnapped by Bandits in Sokoto

Bandits terrorizing Sabon Birni local council, Sokoto State have kidnapped five locals including three children of the same father.

The victims, according to TheCable were kidnapped at Takatsaba village on Tuesday.

A vigilante leader, Musa Muhammad, said the assailants first struck at about 12 am on Tuesday, adding a number of cattle were rustled.

“Armed bandits attacked Takatsaba village around 12 midnight on Tuesday. They kidnapped five residents and also rustled cows and sheep,” he said.

“Among the persons abducted are three children of one Abdu Singa in Takatsaba in Sabon Birni eastward, Sabon Birni LGA.”

In a sustained attack, the bandits also besieged Garki village, kidnapping three travelers around 09:00 am earlier today, a resident of Sabon Birni, Lukman Iliyasu, revealed.

According to him, the trio were abducted while en route from Garki to Masawa village.

Although Sanusi Abubakar, police spokesperson in Sokoto, said he was not aware of the incident, he promised to get back to TheCable.
