In a sober reflection to remember the legacies of Shiekh Ja’afarMahmud Adam13 years after he was gruesomely killed by unknown gunmen, a Jos
based Islamic Scholar Ibrahim Idris said the late scholar has bequeathedlasting legacies.The renowned Islamic scholar, Sheikh Jafar Mahmud Adam was killedon 13th April, 2007 by some faceless assassins.
WikkiTimes gathered that, Sheikh Jafar was born in February12, 1960 in Daura LGA of Katsina state and met his waterloo while leadingmorning prayers.
Speaking to our correspondent, Sheikh Ibrahim Idris Jos, oneof his students said ” Sheikh Jafar had lived an exemplary life worthy ofemulation by all students and scholars alike, his quest for knowledge andimparting it is unrivalled for.”
Sheikh Jaafar’s expertise in Qur’anic exegesis andjurisprudence distinguished him among many other contemporary scholars inNigeria.
Sheikh Idris described him as martyr, “an epitome ofsimplicity, easy going and looking at how he’s gruesomely killed, he could beseen as a dweller of Jannah”, he said.
Sheikh Idris advised students to see the life of SheikhJafar as a mirror in their quest for knowledge and teaching the gospel truth.
Recall that, Sheikh Jaafar was killed on one fateful Fridaywhile leading morning congregational prayers in Kano.
He’s well known for his good understanding of Qur’an andprophetic traditions; he’d departed the world while his memory is still fresh.
