Residents Of Bauchi Community Begs Potable Water

Residents of Dawaki, one of the wards of Bauchi local government, have voiced their displeasure over how the lack of potable water in the area makes life difficult for them.

Alhaji Maimako Babaji stated this when he lead a delegation of inhabitants of the area on a courtesy call on the General Manager of Yankari Transport Corporation, Alhaji Alin Bababa.

Globe FM reports that the resident were in the office of the General Manger to commend him for facilitating a water project in the area.

Alhaji Maimako said that water scarcity is the greatest bottleneck of the people of the area, making most resident to wake up late night insearch of water to meet domestic water need of their families.

Alhaji Tanko Marafan Dawaki, Chairman Water Reticulation of the area said that few people of the area have access to water since the provision of the water source, noted that very soon the perennial shortage of the water in the area would be a thing of the past.

Responding, General Manager Yankari Transport Corporation Alhaji Abdulkadir Alin Bababa, expressed delight for the visit and pledged commitment to do his best toward facilitating the provision of the project in the area.
