AFRI-CIRD condoles presidency, Nigerians over Abba Kyari’s death

The African Centre for Innovative Research and Development (AFRI-CIRD) has commiserated with the Presidency over the death of Mallam Abba Kyari, Chief of Staff (CoS) to President Muhammadu Buhari.

A press statement by the Founder/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on Sunday, Mohammed Bello said the research centre received the sad news of the demise of Mallam Abba Kyari with deep shock.

“We are aware that he died battling the dreaded coronavirus disease. May Allah comfort his friends and family members as well as the entire people of Nigeria”, the centre prayed.

“We knew him as a ‘Statesman’ who did not only demonstrated unrepentant commitment and loyalty to his principal since 2015, but someone who sacrificed and died in the course of national assignment”, the statement said.

It added that, Mallam Abba Kyari no doubt will be missed by the Presidency. It is our prayer that his soul rest in peace.

“Again, we extend our deepest sympathies to the Presidency and his family during this period of mourning. May Almighty Allah grant them the strength to bear this irreplaceable loss”, the statement concluded.
