Bukhar Alimodu Sherif, the son of the former Governor of Borno State, Alimodu Sherif and Fatimah Zarah Bala Mohammed got married on Friday in an impromptu ceremony.
WikkiTimes gathered that the Groom’s father, Alimodu Sherif was in the State along with ex-Governor of Gombe State; Ibrahim Dankwambo and many other dignitaries to seek the family’s consent.
Governor Mohammed, having received the suitor and his family at the Ramat House, the Presidential wing of the Government House, ordered that the wedding rites be done immediately.
It was gathered that N250,000 was paid as bride price. There was no elaborate ceremony for the marriage. Dignitaries in attendance were; Deputy Governor; Senator Baba Tela, the Secretary to the State Government; Barr. Ibrahim Kashim, the Chief of Staff; Aminu Gamawa, Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP); Alh. Hamza Koshe Akuyam and other aides.
The Governor had on February 6, this year married off another daughter, Hauwa Bala Mohammed to the son of Emir of Azara in Nasarawa, Lawal Adamu in the same venue.
