BAHA pledges collaboration with executive to move state forward

The Bauchi State House of Assembly (BAHA) has vowed to continue to work in collaboration with the executive in order to overcome the challenges preventing progress and development of the state.

The Speaker of the Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Sulaiman who stated this when he featured on a Bauchi Radio Corporation (BRC) phone-in programme said that the ninth assembly is working in active synergy with Governor Bala Mohammed irrespective of political differences to foster speedy development and growth of the state.

According to Speaker Suleiman, the assembly under his watch would focus attention towards ensuring that dividends of democracy is delivered to the good cotizens of Bauchi state.

Rt. Honourable Suleiman, in the program Tagged: ‘Tafiya Da Gwani’, in hausa language, literally meaning, “walking with an expert”, commended members of the assembly for sponsoring motions that have direct impact on the lives of their constituents.

The Speaker who also spoke on the 2020 proposed budget presented before the assembly by Governor Bala Mohammed recently, noted that the house has extended its calendar in order to give adequate attention to the budget.

Speaker Sulaiman while commending the state government for conducting public hearings on the proposed budget, suggested that same method be applied across the 20 local government areas of the state in order to ensure their basic needs were captured in the budget.

The Speaker who said all the Ministries, Departments and Agencies in the state have already finished defending their budget before the various committees, assured the entire people of Bauchi that the assembly will ensure speedy passage of the budget.
