BREAKING: Bauchi Police rescues wives, daughter of slain BAHA lawmaker

Bauchi state Police command says it has rescued the two wives and a daughter of the Bauchi State House of Assembly lawmaker who was killed by unknown gunmen last week Thursday.

DSP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, the command’s image maker has confirmed the development in a telephone interview with WikkiTimes.

Wakil said the abductees were rescued at Bashe village in Dass LGA at 11 pm yesterday.

“Police has rescued them unhurt and they are undergoing medical checkup at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Teaching Hospital Bauchi”, DSP Mohammed Wakil has said.

He said details of the rescue operations will be made available to newsmen later in the day.

WikkiTimes recalls that Hon. Musa Mante representing Dass constituency at the Bauchi State House of Assembly was gunned down by unknown armed robbers who abducted his two wives and a daughter.

The incident generated nationwide condemnation of the barbaric act.

Both the State governor Bala Mohammed and the Assembly Speaker Abubakar Y. Suleiman have vowed to incentivize security agencies in order to fish out the culprit.

WikkiTimes reports that the Assembly had yesterday held a valedictory session in honour of the slain lawmaker.
