Authorities in Plateau state say they have recorded the first case of coronavirus in the state on Thursday evening.
Daser David, the head of the State’s taskforce on coronavirus confirmed the development on his twitter handle.
WikkiTimes reports that the index case is a lady from kano who was arrested after flouting the state’s lockdown directives.
Her sample was reportedly collected and tested positive following medical examination.
Reports say the state government has isolated the lady.
