Brothers Arraigned After Killing Man ‘Caught’ with Housewife in Adamawa

Tukur Sale and his brother, Ibrahim Sale were arrigned before a magistrate court sitting in Yola, the capital of Adamawa State, for allegedly killing a man who was accused of having an affair with the former’s wife.

The incident happened after the defendants sighted the deceased going out with the woman. They, subsequently, attacked him with sticks.

According to police prosecutor, Inspector Zakka Musa, the duo confessed to having committing the offence.

Musa told the court that the defendants used sticks and cutlasses to attack the deceased on June 30, adding the incident led to his death

He argued that the act contravenes sections 60 and 141 of the panel code law. Musa explained that the deceased was certified dead by a medical doctor at in a hospital at Fufore town.

Tukur whose wife was alledly having an affair with the deceased told the court he had cautioned the deceased several times to stop going out with his wife but he refused. This, he said, prompted him to trail the victims after sighting him with his wife. The defendant added that he got married to his wife in 2022.

The magistarte adjourned the case to July 27 after remanding Tukur and his brother in prison facility in the state.
