Construction firm bags award of excellence from engineering body

A construction company known as The Eighteenth Engineering Company International Ltd (EEC) has bagged an award of excellence from an engineering body for its outstanding performance in the field of construction works.

A press statement made available to WikkiTimes by the Project Manager of the company, Mr. Dong Jian noted that the award was received from the Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE) in August this year.

He explained that the award of excellence followed quality and timely execution of an 18.5 kilometers Gona-Garko-Gujuba-Kalshingi road network which leads to Maiduguri new by-pass in Gombe state.

According to Mr. Jian, the road was successfully completed in March, 2020 and put to usage since April same year.

Mr.Jian explained that the presentation of the award of outstanding performance was made by the Gombe state commissioner of works and Transport, Engineer Abubakar Musa Bappah.

The press statement said that the Governor of Gombe state, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya commended the his company for doing a good job not only in the state but other areas across Nigeria.

He informed that the Chairman of the Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE), Engineer Babagana Muhammed while presenting the award, said the engineering society is pleased to associate itself with the quality engineers working with the construction company.

Mr Dong Jian while responding on behalf of the company, thanked the NSE for recognizing his organization’s outstanding performance in the constitution business.

Mr. Jian who is the project manager of the company said that the award will further propel his company to stick to professionalism, delivery of quality work as well as timely execution of projects anywhere they found themselves.

He appreciated the Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE) for the award, promising to always give their best as a good return.

He thanked Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of the state for prompt payment which according to him, made the project a hitch-free exercise.
