Justice Nmamdi Dimgba of the Federal High Court, Abuja, has on Wednesday adjourned the judgment in the case involving the alleged criminal diversion of N66million against the former Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Mohammed Dikko Umar till March 17, 2022.
The former NAF Chief Officer was first indicted by EFCC on seven-count charges of money laundering and possession of goods valued at N9.7 billion in Abuja.
The court however dismissed the other six charges, leaving one, which is the charge against him over the illegal diversion of funds from the NAF bank account.
At the proceeding, the counsels to the defendant submitted their final written statement of the case and prayed the court to dismiss the case and acquit the defendant, stating that there was no evidence that supports the connection between the defendant and the charges against him.
Justice Dimgba adjourned the case to March 17 for final pronouncement.
