COVID-19: another patient tests negative in Bauchi, recovers

Additional person have been discharged in Bauchi after recovering from coronovirus disease, bringing the total number of discharged COVID-19 patients to 5 in the state, government official says.


A press statement from the office of the S.A New media to Governor Bala Mohammed of the stae, Alhaji Lawal Muazu said out of the remaining two patients of coronovirus at the state’s isolation center, one has been discharged today after testing negative to the novel virus.

Commenting on the development, Governor Bala Mohammed thanked health personnel and the state taskforce on COVID19 for their unrelenting efforts in tackling the spread of the disease.
The Governor urged all indigenes and residents of the state to continue to work with the state government so as to compliment its efforts towards keeping the state free of COVID19.

“Alhamdulillah, today, one of the remaining two COVID-19 patients at our isolation centre received a second negative result from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC). He has gotten the green-light and has been discharged”, the Governor said. 

He reiterated his call on the good citizens of the state to continue to adhere strictly to the protocols of social distancing, personal hygiene and report suspicious cases to authorities for immediate response.With the development, 5 persons have now been discharged in Bauchi.
