Covid-19: Bauchi Govt. Distributes Palliatives To 10,000 Beneficiaries

Bauchi State government has distributed palliatives to 10,000 households in Misau and Gamawa local government areas of the state.

The State Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed who distributed the items said that five thousand beneficiaries in each local council will benefit from the gesture.

The Governor who was represented by the Deputy Chairman, State Palliative Distribution Committee, Senator Adamu Ibrahim Gumba, called on the distribution Committee to be fair and just while distributing.

“Five thousand households in each of the local governments will benefit from the palliative. 
The palliatives will be given to the committee for onward distribution; however, the committee should ensure that the items are distributed with fairness and equity so that every household will have a sense of belonging in this administration,” he said.

The government through the committee has decided to reach out to households in these two local governments in view of the hardships caused COVID-19.

The State Committee Chairman COVID 19 palliative, Dr Rilwanu Suleiman represented by the Chief Imam of Bauchi, Baba Ahmed Inna Adamu called on the beneficiaries to make good use of the support given to them, adding that 17 local governments has so far benefited from the palliative and distribution was a success.

Receiving the items, representatives of Misau and Gamawa local government Alhaji Garba Mohammed and Alhaji Mohammed Abdulkadri Dowuwa thanked the state government, federal government and other donor partners for the gesture.
They assured that the palliatives will be distributed evenly and accordingly.
