COVID-19: Bauchi reps member, Mansur Manu Soro to support 4,113 less privileged with palliatives

The House of Representatives member for Darazo/Ganjuwa federal constituency, Hon. Mansur Manu Soro has disclosed that 4,113 people across the 22 wards of Darazo and Ganjuwa will benefit supported with one bag of rice each as part of his contribution to cushion the effect of COVID-19 pandemic.

The lawmaker who made the disclosure in a press statement issued to WikkiTimes on Thursday said he has equally directed his Senior Legislative Assistant to deliver to his party, the APC officials and stakeholders in Darazo and Ganjuwa local government areas, the sum of N2 million to help alleviate the condition caused by COVID-19 pandemic.

“Earlier today, I instructed my Senior Legislative Assistant (SLA) to deliver to APC party officials and stakeholders in Darazo and Ganjuwa Local Government Areas, the sum of N2 million with the view to alleviate the condition caused by COVID-19 pandemic”, the statement said.

The lawmaker noted that he has embarked on the distribution of food items and targeted cash transfers to poor and vulnerable people across the 22 wards of Darazo/Ganjuwa in the spirit of the month of Ramadan.

“In the immediate term, we are reaching out to 4,113 beneficiaries for one bag of food items each.

“The distribution team is today covering substantial part of Darazo Local Government Area and will proceed to Ganjuwa local Government Area tomorrow, Insha Allah”, the legislator said.

He called on the constituents to continue to observe all the health guidelines recommended by the NCDC against COVID-19 pandemic for them to stay safe.
