CP Sanda Assumes Duty In Bauchi, Pledges Commitment To ‘Proactive Policing’

Umar Mamman Sanda, the newly posted Commissioner of Police to Bauchi State has assumed duty at the state’s Police Command with a commitment to deploying proactive policing strategies to end criminality in the state.

The Commissioner of Police stated this on Monday while addressing officers and men of the command in his office.

He said that he will actively use proactive policing strategies as his operational model and will be based on the best practices of effective policing with a particular focus on community policing.

He said that the Bauchi State Police Command will work vigorously to ensure peace and safety of lives and property of citizens of the state in active collaboration with sister security agencies in the state.

CP Sanda said that citizens of Bauchi State have a lot to offer to the police in its bid to protect their lives and property through providing timely and relevant intelligence information, adding that securing the state requires teamwork.

“Bauchi Command under my watch will not go out of the agenda set by the IGP, Alkali Baba, “all we will do is to ensure that the focus is not lost. Our determination is to ensure that the police acted as the true friend to the public.”

The new Police Commissioner, therefore, warned that his administration will not condone indolence from any person nor will it tolerate any act of corruption in whatever form as anyone caught will be dealt with accordingly.
