Delayed Downpour: Few Hours After Special Prayer, Heavy Rain Hits Bauchi

Barely two hours after the Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Rilwanu Sulaiman Adamu led thousands of residents of the metropolis to offer special prayer over delayed rainfall, heavy Rain befell some parts of the city.

WikkiTimes had earlier reported that Jama’atu Nasirl Islam (JNI) in collaboration with Al-Muhibah Foundation spearheaded a two-day maintenance work at Bauchi cemetery as part of preparations to offer the special prayer to appease Allah for a steady rainy season.

The Emir during the prayer session today, called on all people to refrain from committing sins, which is the precursor of the delayed rainfall. 

He urged farmers to adopt an improved variety of seeds to be able to wither the storm to feed their families and the state in general.

The chief Imam of Bauchi, Malam Bala Ahmed Baban Inna led the congregation in two raka’at prayers at the Bauchi Central Eid ground. 

He warned Muslims faithful to frequently repent to Allah for the wrong deeds committed.

The Imam also called on wealthy individuals to assist the needy and poor people in their neighbourhood at this trying moment when the economy is not favourable to low-income earners.
