Properties worth millions of naira including foodstuffs have been destroyed by late evening fire outbreak in Zakarkatari village of Gamawa local government area of Bauchi State.
The fire which was a left over from evening meal on Monday, razed down all the houses in the community including their animals, food items to ashes, WikkiTimes learnt.
Muhammed Isah, the village head of Zakarkatari told newsmen that all their belongings including food items were destroyed, noting that even though no life was lost during the incident, his people are in need of urgent support from all and sundry.
The village head who said as the fire started from one house and continued to affect houses near by, locals scamper for safety as the volume of fire is beyond their control, thus burning all their belongings to ashes.

In a statement by local government Information Officer, the Caretaker Chairman Gamawa local government Nasiru Bakura, sympathized with the people calling on them to consider it as an act of God.
