House Postpones deliberation on 2019 Budget for the Second Time

The House of Representatives has for the second time postponed its commencement of debate on the 2019 Budget proposal.

The 2019 money Bill which was supposed to have its first allotted day for debate during today’s plenary was stepped down on the request of the House Leader,  Mr.Femi Gbajabiamila who explained that members had requested for yet another shift of date as many of them had just got copies of the Voluminous document and needed time to study it.

Consequently, the Deputy Speaker of the House, Mr.Lasun Yusuf who presided the sitting announced the postponement of commencement of debate on the 2019 budget.

The Deputy Speaker also announced to members who have interest in making contributions to debate on the Bill to register their names preparatory to the commencement of the consideration of the Money Bill.

The House during the sitting  passed six Bills.
