Bala Mohammed, the governor of Bauchi State has reinstalled Ibrahim Mohammed Kashim as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) after the latter’s resignation to secure governorship ticket for him.
Bala and Kashim, WikkiTimes understands, signed a pact to this effect. The governor while aimlessly eyeing presidency banked on Kashim to have his back should he lose at the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) presidential primary, where he eventually polled 20 votes.
However, a statement obtained by WikkiTimes confirmed the reinstallation of Kashim to his former position.
“His re- appointment is informed by his track record of sincerity, loyalty , commitment and wealth of experience in the discharge of assigned responsibilities,” the statent reads in part.
Following his defeat at the presidential primaries, governor Bala returned home to claim guber ticket from Kashim, who emerged the soul winner of guber primaries.
Tellingly, governor Bala would he field as the PDP flag bearer in coming general election, despite not participating in the primary election. Though, the party said his name would be replaced with Kashim’s.

The Statement
His Excellency Sen. Bala A. Mohammed CON , Fnipr ( Kauran Bauchi ) the Executive Governor of Bauchi State has approved the re- appointment of Barr. Ibrahim Mohammed kashim as the Secretary to the Bauchi State Government .
His re- appointment is informed by his track record of sincerity, loyalty , commitment and wealth of experience in the discharge of assigned responsibilities .
Barr. Ibrahim Mohammed Kashim was the immediate past Secretary to the Bauchi State Government .
The appointment takes immediate effect .
