The Supreme Court on Thursday affirmed the election of Ahmed Aliyu, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the March 2023 election as Sokoto State governor.
Delivering judgment, Justice Tijani Abubakar dismissed the appeal by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and its governorship candidate, Saidu Umar.
Earlier, the Court also affirmed the election of Agbu Kefas as Taraba State Governor.
Delivering judgment, Justice Lawal Garba dismissed the appeal by the NNPP and its governorship candidate, Yahaya Sani for filing an incomplete record of appeal.
