Kaduna Govt Offers Indian Varsity Scholarship to 50 Students

The Kaduna state government said it has secured the scholarship of not less than 50 students to pursue ICT courses at the Indian Mewar International University (MIU)established in Nasarawa State.

Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, the deputy governor of the state, made the announcement on Tuesday while welcoming the parents of 33 successful female applicants of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) at the Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, Daily Trust reports.

The successful candidates were selected from each of the 23 local government areas of the state based on persons with the highest marks in JAMB, with special consideration given to females.

The deputy governor also encouraged the successful students and wished them success as they departed for Nasarawa State to commence their studies.

Mewar is the first international university from India to establish a campus in West Africa, offering courses in computer sciences and ICT.
