Let me begin by congratulating you as one of the strongest contestant in the recently concluded bye-election of the Bauchi South Senatorial district.
This write-up may be misunderstood by those at the kindergarten class of political analysis in trying to make a justifiable rationale for the pen drops. Because it is not in our character to congratulate the loser, no matter how much he tried in playing decent politicking, especially for a beginner. But for Ladan Salihu, his integrity, pedigree and repute deserve my sympathetic heart, time and pen.
Ladan Salihu has labored years after years to build a carrier, reputation, integrity and an uncompromising principles, through some remarkable years of diligent service to humanity, and in particular his cognate experience which a lot of people are ignorant about. This has prepared him adequately to the challenges of any leadership position around the globe.
As a veteran broadcaster all eyes are on you to play decent politics, at least to conform to what you have been advocating for in your years of service as a professional. I’m glad you exhibited that—for, this is the first time we are seeing someone who is bringing his wealth of experience to bear in the political arena, particularly in Bauchi South Senatorial District.
You were criticized on several occasions on different allegations, but most of the criticisms are meaningless allegations that cannot be substantiated with evidence given your pedigree, but you were not deterred—thanks to your knowledge of the game and shenanigans.
Some of your critics were against you not because they hate you in person or your brands of politics, their argument rest on the fact that you will disappoint the electorate, conspire with other selfish elements to build or organize some treacherous hitches against President Buhari. But little did they know, you are simply not the type.
The confidence we have on you as your admirers and followers made the electorate bent tooth and nails to give you reasonable and remarkable amount votes that no politician will call you a beginner.
If you take away the power of the sitting government and the alleged malpractices, one will conclude that you fought hard and died like a hero.
Do not be discouraged or allowed your shining candles to dissipate, continue to be relevant in the political limelight and the sky is your limit.
People who know you are of the opinion that you are somebody that doesn’t compromise his principles and what he pursues. I believe you are very much aware of how people refuse to accept president Buhari’s plea to vote for your opponent and they went ahead and gave you some rousing votes despite the respect they have for Buhari.
