NAHCON commends Saudi authorities for a Successful 2019 Hajj exercise

The Chairman, National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Barrister Abdullahi Mukhtar Muhammad​ has commended authorities in Saudi Arabian for successfully hosting Pilgrims from all over the world in the just concluded 2019 Hajj season.

The Chairman gave the commendation just as thousands of pilgrims departs Muna Camp for Makka before their onward Journey back to Nigeria and other parts of the world,​ signifying the​ end of the 2019 Hajj rites.

A Press statement signed by Fatima Sanda Usara , Head, Public Affairs NAHCON and made available to our correspondent, NAHCON Chairman praised the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah for their professional handling of the spiritual​ event which resulted in an hitch-free exercise.

Barrister Mukhtar also extolled the establishment of Mutawwifs for Pilgrims from African and Non-Arab Countries, popularly referred to as Mu’assasah, for the excellent arrangement in Muna and Arafat that helped to enhance the comfort of Nigerian Pilgrims in the tents.

“Their well-organized teams that were placed on standby to serve the Pilgrims throughout the period, deserves appreciation”.

Similar recognition was made of the General Car Syndicate and other transport companies that moved all Pilgrims within stipulated time and brought them back without delay.

The NAHCON helmsman further expressed “profound happiness at the conduct of Nigerian Pilgrims and their officials who displayed decorum and abided by the rules and regulations of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. “This, indeed made Nigeria proud”, the statement quoted the chairman as saying.
