Prince Uche Secondus, the National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party has described the recent killing of farmers in Borno State and abduction of schoolgirls in Katsina as a sign of confusion and crisis ravaging Nigeria.
Mr Secondus who described the development as a failure of leadership on the site of the Muhammadu Buhari led government said the state confusion in Nigeria regarding the security the situation is a cause for concern.
Mr Secondus was Speaking on Wednesday when he flagged off the dualization of two federal roads from Giwo Academy to Abubakaer Tafawa Balewa International Airport and Awalah Roundabout to Bauchi State University by the PDP led administration of Governor Bal Mohammed of Bauchi State.
“Today is one day that we are looking for at a moment of sorrow and grief because Nigeria is undergoing serious distress.
“Nigeria is in a state of crisis and confusion from across its nooks and crannies; insecurity, banditry and kidnapping has continued to put us in a state of unease as a people”, the national Chairman lamented.
Mr Secondus who observed a minute silence in memory of those killed by insecurity and the kidnapping of Katsina students called for concerted prayers to end insecurity in Nigeria.
The national Chairman who described governor Bala Mohammed Bauchi State as workaholic said the synergy existing between the governor and the state legislature despite being members of opposing parties is a sign of humility and maturity.
“The humility and synergy between the state governor and the house of Assembly is because of all of them are united in the pursuit of development and progress of the state”, he said.
“Your Excellency as members of the PDP, we are proud of your administration and your continued stewardship for the people of Bauchi State.
“Despite shortfalls in revenues, you are able to utilize the few resources at your disposal for the benefit of the people of Bauchi State”, Mr Secondus ADDED.
Mr Secondus was accompanied by the Chairman of the PDP Governor’s AND Governor of Sokoto State Mr Aminu Waziri Tambuwal and other caucuses of the party.
