NIPR tasks Bauchi Governor against appointing quacks as spokespersons

Bauchi State Chapter, Nigeria Institute of Public Relations has cautioned Governor Bala Muhammad of the state against appointing quacks to manage Public Affairs offices in his administration.

The State Chairman of the Institute, Alhaji Kabir Ali Kobi gave the hints in a statement to congratulate the Mohammed for his inauguration as the Executive Governor of the state.

Alhaji Ali Kobi argued that for the image of the administration to be protected, members of the Institute should be considered for appointment as spokespersons for better performance considering their professional expertise.

“While we join the multitude of other well wishers in wishing you a happy and successful tenure, we most sincerely wish to appeal to you Sir, to kindly consider that only certified members of the Institute are appointed as spokespersons of your administration as enshrined in Part VI, section 19 of the law that established NIPR”, the statement read in part.

The Institute expressed confidence that the new governor would deploy his wealth of experience to steer the fortune of the state to greater height.

The statement therefore appealed to the Governor to consolidate on the achievements recorded while he was the Senator Representing Bauchi South Senatorial District and FCT Minister to enable him meet the expectations of the people of the state.

“We in the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations Bauchi State Chapter are deeply proud to identify with your enviable track records when you represented Bauchi South Senatorial District as its senator and later the Honorable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory”, the statement added.
