NNPP’s Anointed Falgore Wins Kano Assembly Speaker

A member representing Rogo constituency at Kano State House of Assembly, Jibrin Ismail Falgore has been declare as speaker of the parliament.

Falgore of the ruling New Nigeria Peoples’ Party (NNPP) emerged unopposed due to his preference by the NNPP leadership in the state.

Similarly, member representing Rimingado/Tofa state constituency, Muhammad Bello Butubutu of the ruling NNPP emerged as the deputy speaker unopposed.

The ruling NNPP has the majority of the state assembly with 26 members while the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) has 14 members that cumulatively make up 40 members of the Kano State House Assembly.
