Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has been appointed as the Chairman, PDP Campaign Council for Bayelsa State Governorship Election.
Inaugurating the Council along side that of Kogi State in Abuja, the PDP National Chaiman, Prince Uche Secondus said the council was inaugurated to drive the process of campaign and election in Bayelsa and Kogi states.
He appealed to the stakeholders of the party in the two states to support the council for the success and victory of the party’s candidates during the election.
The PDP National Chaiman who cautioned members of the council not to succumb to harassment and intimidation in the discharge of their assigned responsibilities, appealed to INEC to ensure the conduct of free and fair election.
Prince Uche Secondus appealed to people of Bayelsa state to consider the achievements recorded by the outgoing Governor Seriake Dickson in the delivery of dividends of democracy in the last 8 years and support the party during the election.
Responding, Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed who described Bayelsa state as his second home being the state of his former boss, President Good luck Jonathan, pledged to work tirelessly for the success of the party.
Governor Bala Mohammed said the council would make excellent planning for the victory of the party, and sought for the support of stakeholders in the state for effective discharge of their assigned responsibilities.
