There is intensive security at the Bauchi state Governorship election petition tribunal today as the court sets to deliver judgement in the petition filed by the former Governor Mohammed Abubakar against the victory of the incumbent Governor Bala Mohammed in the last 2019 election.
Our correspondent reports that many journalists and lawyers of both parties are barred from entering the venue to avoid overcrowding.
It was also gathered that the police have barricaded Ahmadu Bello way and Yan Doka road leading to the court to avert potential break down of law and order as a result of the political tension in the state.
The panel of judges arrived at the tribunal at 9:30am while sitting commenced at exactly 10:am.
