Two boys earlier declared missing in Saminaka Local Government Area of Kaduna Sate were found dead in an uncompleted building.
Details are sketchy but residents told WikkTimes that it was a likely work of ritualists who took the children for their dastardly act.
Residents of Saminaka said they are demanding justice following the brutal murder of two five-year olds four days after they were declared missing.
According to Anas Yango, a community member, the two children aged 5 and belonging to the same family, were missing for four days and that all efforts by the family to trace their whereabouts proved abortive.
Yango told WikkiTimes that they are shocked by the sad event. “We suspect ritualists because there was no sign of blood in their bodies. The family had been searching for them for four days, but all efforts were in vain.”
“This is not the first incident of its kind in the area. Yango recalled a similar case where a young boy went missing and was later found dead in an uncompleted building. We urge the authorities to investigate this heinous crime and bring the perpetrators to justice,” he said.
Yusuf Sani, a relative of the victims confirmed that the two kids are members of their family.
He said in a terse Facebook post “my brother’s child and my grandchild have lost their lives. I pray may Allah repose their souls.”
WikkiTimes attempts to contact the Kaduna State Police Command spokesperson, Mansur Hassan, were unsuccessful as several calls and an SMS sent were not responded as of press time.
