The Kebbi Government, says it will mobilise 200 entrepreneurs to meet with Vice President, Yemi Osibanjo during the launching of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) Clinic in the state on Sept. 12.
Alhaji Sulaiman Argungu, the Chief of Staff to Gov. Atiku Bagudu, made the disclosure while briefing newsmen in Birnin Kebbi, shortly after a meeting with secretaries of the 21 local government councils in the state.
“The reason we had called for this stakeholders’ meeting is to urge them to go and inform the entrepreneurs in their respective areas that the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinjo is coming to Kebbi on Sept. 12, 2019, for MSMEs Clinic.
“We believe we have over 200 entrepreneurs and it is an opportunity for them to show our country their talent and entrepreneurship,” he said.
Argungu said Kebbi would be the 24th state where the MSME clinic was launched by the vice president to stimulate local businesses.
The chief of staff, therefore, called on technology incubators and entrepreneurs to come out en masse in order to leverage on the opportunity.
“This will also be an opportunity to interact with our regulators, getting proper guidance, information and business opportunities available for them,” he said.
NAN reports that the MSMEs Clinic is an initiative of the Office of the Vice President, and brings together key government agencies to examine and tackle factors hindering MSMEs growth in the country.
