8 Criminal Suspects Arrested in Kano

No fewer than eight suspects have been arrested by Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Kano State.

According to Punch, the suspects were arrested for various crimes ranging from vandalism, car theft to phone snatching in the state.

The state NSCDC’s Commandant, Muhammad Falala, disclosed this while briefing newsmen at the command’s headquarters Thursday evening.

Falala said the suspects included Ibrahim Sani, 25, Salahu Abubakar Ale, 25, and Jafar Sani, 20. The commandant said they were arrested in Sabon Gari, Fagge local council while vandalizing an armored 7mms cable.

He said the other suspects are Bara’u Auwal, 19; Yusuf Ibrahim, 18, and Sharhabilu Rabiu Abubakar, 19, and were arrested for phone theft at Dorayi/Chiranchi Gwale Local Government Area.

Aminu Adamu, 32, of Unguwar Dosa Kaduna, state, who specializes in car theft and documents forgery was arrested at Gandun Albasa Kano Municipal while attempting to steal a Toyota Corolla.

“Exhibits recovered from him include a bunch of keys containing 13 Toyota keys, a fake plate number, and a fake/car particulars,” the commandant said.

He said all the suspects would be charged to court for prosecution after investigation.
