Bala Mohammed, Bauchi State Governor has sent a draft Bill for Child Protection Law (2022) to Bauchi State Assembly for consideration.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by Abdul Burra, spokesperson to the Speaker, Bauchi State House of Assembly, Abubakar Suleiman.
The details of the bill remain sketchy at press time. However, the house also deliberated on the report of the joint House Committee on Works and Transport and Rural Development on a Bill for a Law to establish Bauchi State Rural Access Roads Authority (RARA) 2022 as laid Yusuf Muhammad Bako who represents Pali Constituency.
The lawmaker also laid a report of the joint House Committee on Works and Transport and Rural Development on a Bill for a law to establish Bauchi State Road Fund and Bauchi State Road Fund Board 2022.
Following a debate, the house directed the committees to “rework the reports and address all grey areas” within a week.
The house further adjourned its sitting to April 27 as moved and seconded by the Majority Leader and the Minority Leader.
