Aishatu Dahiru Binani, the governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), in the just-concluded supplementary poll in Adamawa State, has withdrawn her lawsuit against Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Her lawyer informed the court about the notice of discontinuance filed by the plaintiff and prayed the court strike out the suit.
Before her lawyer’s submission, the Federal High Court, Abuja had dismissed the suit.
She had sought for judicial review of the decision by INEC to reverse her earlier announcement as the winner of the election by the state’s Resident Electoral Commissioner, Yunusa Hudu-Ari.
Following the motion for discontinuance, Justice Inyang Ekwo said he will make an order dismissing the matter.
