Aero Airliner Commences Operation In Bauchi

Aero Flight contractors, owners of Aero Airliner have commenced flight operations from Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport Bauchi to Abuja.

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state who assured aero flights of a friendly business environment as they commences operations in the state Wednesday expressed happiness that that aero flights is establishing its presence in Bauchi.

Governor Mohammed noted that the commencement of flight operations by Aero in the state will enhance business activities of the people of the state.

The Governor who commended the Managing Director of the company for standing as one of the best in the aviation industry, said that aero flight without being lobbied decided to carry out, as a company, their due diligence in Bauchi.

“Here we are, we spent so much money in Max Air to come here but this company that we never even went to them approached us, they never give us any condition or conditionalities for subsidies”, the Governor said.

“The competition they are bringing in here is not only for the aviation industry but for you the business community in Bauchi, Yobe, Jigawa, Gombe and Plateau states because we intend that this providence will make Bauchi a hub of the Northeast”.

The Governor who assured aero contractors of conducive business environment in Bauchi, pointed out that they will not regret doing business in Bauchi state.

He said that the state government will do everything possible to make sure that the business generates profitability in a commercial manner, that the company will not be doing it on humanitarian ground.

“If there is any way that we can give you subsidy and some leeway for you to make it, we will do it. We have seen that you are with us and you mean well for Bauchi state. You are fellow comrades in this journey of making Bauchi the hub, Bauchi the place to be and Bauchi the pearl of tourism and Bauchi to be the next business or investment destination in the Northeast subregion of Nigeria” Bala said.

He assured that “security in Bauchi is good and the business climate is good, we will make sure that all our government offices and travels will be tailored towards making sure that you are given patronage”.

He promised to developed the Airport to a Cargo area, adding that the state has yesterday discussed with some Indian investors that are willing to invest in Bauchi.

“We are leveraging on the federal government program that will create Bauchi Cargo terminal for agric business and definitely that will add to your profitability.

Bala expressed gratitude to the Honourable Minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Serika who graciously agreed to recognize Bauchi Airport as the hub of the Northeast.

Earlier speaking, the MD of the Company, Captain Abdullahi Mahmoud said Bauchi was chosen considering its commercial activities as well as strategic position in the Northeast.
