ALLEGED BRIBE-TAKING LAWMAKERS (2): Jamo Aminu — A New Comer Who Defeated Buhari’s Nephew

Aminu Jamo, a member of the All Progressive Congress (APC), representing Daura/Sandamu/Maiadua Federal Constituency in Katsina State, was among the 37-man committee of lawmakers fingered for taking bribes from federal agencies being probed for job racketeering.

Although his position in the committee could not be confirmed, the lawmaker and his colleagues were accused of having taken at least N267 million in bribes from the agencies and institutions they were probing. They allegedly took the bribes through a proxy —  Ama Business Solutions, a company fronting for the committee as a consultant.

Locals and Katsina-based journalists described the lawmaker as a philanthropist and an international businessman.

ALLEGED BRIBE-TAKING LAWMAKERS (1): Yusuf Gagdi — The Head Boy and his Antecedents

His dream to be in the House of Representatives in 2019 did not see the light of day until he triumphed this year. He served as Katsina State Commissioner of Health between 2007 and 2011.

During the administration of former governor Aminu Masari, the politician was appointed as chairman of Katsina State Hotels Board.

However, the committee’s chairman, Yusuf Gagdi, a lawmaker representing the Pankshine/Kanam/Kanke federal constituency in Plateau State, denied the allegations.
